11 Day Biblical Tour of Jordan and Egypt

Vacation Overview
This 11 day vacation starts with three nights in the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth. Enjoy a welcome dinner, excursions to Amman and its Archaeological Museum, Jerash, Um Quais, and John the Baptist’s Baptismal Archaeological Park in Bethany Beyond-the-Jordan, where Jesus was immerse in the baptismal springs. Next, travel to Moses’ Mount Nebo, the Madaba Archaeological Museum, and Mukawir, where Salome danced and John the Baptist was imprisoned and beheaded. Continue via Wadi Mujib and the Crusaders Castle of Kerak to Petra, where a full day of guided sightseeing in the “rose-red ci8ty” is included. In Lawrence of Arabia’s Wadi Rum, enjoy a Jeep tour, and then return to the Dead Sea. Fly from Amman to Cairo in Egypt, and meet your Egyptologist for a spectacular day of guided sightseeing: visit the Egyptian Museum, Memphis, Sakkara’s “Stairway to the Sky” (the oldest of the pyramids), and Giza’s Sphinx and Great Pyramids. Also visit the “Hanging Church,” St. Sergius Church, the Coptic Museum, and St. Meruris Church, and enjoy a farewell dinner.
Included with your vacation are: 9 buffet breakfasts, 8 three-course dinners (including a welcome dinner at the Dead Sea and a farewell dinner in Cairo), intra-tour flights, superior first class hotels and spas, and spiritual enrichment.
Itinerary
Day 1- Leave Newark Liberty International Airport
Day 2- Arrival in Amman, Jordan to meet your Tour Director
Day 3- Dead Sea, Amman, Jerash, Um Qais: Amman, guided sightseeing, including the Citadel and the ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM. Then continue to Jerash, the best-preserved Freco-Roman city in the Middle East (Luke 8:26). Stop at the Jabbok River in Um Qais
Day 4- Dead Sea: Experience Bethany Beyond-the Jordan and immersed in the baptismal springs (John 1:26-34). Afternoon is at leisure to enjoy your world class resort and spot
Day 5- Dead Sea-Mount Nebo-Madaba-Mukawir-Wadi Mujib-Kerak-Petra: One of today’s major highlights is a visit to MOUNT NEBO where Moses saw the Promised Land (Deut. 34:1-12). Then on to Madaba to visit ST. GEORGE’S CHURCH, which houses a 6th-century mosaic map of the Holy Land. Explore the MADABA ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM, continue to Mukawir, where John the Baptist was imprisoned and beheaded (Mark 6:14-29). Next, visit Wadi Mujib, the “Jordanian Grand Canyon,” and Kerak to visit the CRUSADER CASTLE then journey to Petra.
Day 6- Petra: Full day of guided sightseeing of PETRA, one of the New 7 wonders of the World®. Lost to the world for centuries, it is located in the Biblical land of Moab (Judges 11:17-18). Stand in awe in front of the famed TREASURY.
Day 7- Petra- Wadi Rum-Dead Sea: Leave Petra on a JEEP TOUR in Wadi Rum. Afterwards, return to the Dead Sea
Day 8- Dead Seam-Amman-Cairo: Fly from Amman and enjoy the rest of your day
Day 9- Cairo: The Pyramids, Meet your Egyptologist for a day of sightseeing, including the EGYPTIAN MUSEUM, MEMPHIS with statues of Ramses II, SAKKARA’S “Stairway to the Sky” and GIZA’S SPHINX and the GREAT PYRAMIDS.
Day 10- Cairo: Full day of guided sightseeing in Old Cairo. Visit “HANGING CHURCH” and St. SERGIUS CHURCH. Then visit the COPTIC MUSEUM as well as the ST. MERURIUS CHURCH with its extraordinary collection of Coptic art.
